Pasting from Word into Wordpress

If you write blog posts or page content in Word and then go try pasting it into your WordPress page or blog post, you’ll notice the text gets pretty funky. That’s because Word isn’t just text–it’s a whole bunch of fonts and coding and things you don’t want. So here’s an easy way to get rid of it all so you can just get that text in there.

1. Copy your text in Word.

2. In the WordPress page or blog post editor, click the little clipboard with W icon. This should  preserve your word formatting such as bolding and italics.

If it doesn’t preserve your formatting, don’t worry! You can use the little clipboard icon with the T on it for “Paste as Plain Text” OR click the Text tab next to Visual and paste it directly into your HTML.
